Berkeley Church Wedding Reception

Stefan and Shannon headed to the Blue Jays game on their first date, a double date - with Stefan’s 2 best friends - no pressure Shannon. But, within 5 minutes of the date Stefan turned to his buddy and said, I’m going to marry this girl, and sure enough he did.

I hope you enjoy some of the day's special moments below!

Stefan had a ring custom made for Shannon, and was waiting for the right moment to ask the biggest question of his life. Stefan ended up popping the question after a charity event in support of Special Olympics Canada, he dropped down on one knee, took Shannon’s hand and said “ today was the perfect day, and you are the perfect girl and I want to make my life perfect, will you marry me?” - words Shannon will never forget. After a big YES, Shannon and Stefan were going to have their perfect wedding

In between the ceremony and reception the wedding party partook in a photo session at a Cherry Beach that combined both the beauty of the outdoors and iconic Toronto city skyline. The Captain of the William Lyon MacKenzie, also known as the father of the bride, was able to call in a few favours and got the boat to come over and take part in the wedding festivities.

Shannon looked incredible in her wedding dress!

Shannon and Stefan tied the knot in front of 240 family and friends. The ceremony took place under the stunning architecture of Saint Paul’s Basilica, followed by a formal reception at The Berkeley Church.

The reception was simple, yet sophisticated, with creamy whites, pops of pretty peach florals and other soft hues. Guests stomped and clapped the tune of ‘We Will Rock You‘ to encourage the couple to kiss, enjoyed the delicious and gorgeous sweet table/candy bar and danced the night away under twinkle lights.
